Day 173

Soaked some rays by our pool for the first time today with Laura. Walked* (keyword) to LA Fitness, worked out a bit, then walked* (keyword) back. I love living so close to my gym! I have a gym in my complex that I need to take advantage of still... kinda nice that I have options :). Showered then went to Hudson Grille with Laura and a bunch of her friends. I love meeting new people. It's one of my favorite things to do!! We all had a great time... probably too much fun. So much fun that I literally had to remove myself... but first I had to go to her boyfriends house and meet his dog, Kizer. Kizer is a pitbull. I know, sounds scary right? NO... this dog was super sweet!

I have a statewide cheerleading meeting, bridal shower, cookout, & concert tomorrow :) BIG day! Sweet dreams!

Day 172

Worked out pretty early this morning because I had anotherrrrr appointment with another doctor. Been to two doctors in the past two days... I'm doctored out. I'm healthy... for now. I have to go back in a month to double check though. :/

Even though these pictures aren't that great, check out our view from our new apartment. We can see all of downtown and the king and queen buildings. I love where I live!

Day 171

Look what I get to live with... what have I done to myself? Living with two Tennessee fans... ahhhh! Football season is gonna be awesome :) Can't wait!! GO DAWGS :)

Day 170

Again. Long day. Got a ton of stuff done around the apt. All of our moms came over (we're all so lucky--moms are the best!!) and helped us/took us out to eat. We toasted to new beginnings :) I did a lot of random stuff, but to be honest... my bed is lookin' pretty fine right now. Peace.

Oh, this is a picture my grandmommy sent me today of baby Caleb aka my new cousin. His daddy (my 1st cousin) wore this home from the hospital when he was little. How cute!

Day 169

Moved. All. Day. Long. Super. Tired. The place is awesome that we moved into, but we have boxes everywhere. I can't wait to unload everything and actually get settled. Tonight I went to step with Josh then met the roomies and Laura's parents at Taco Mac for dinner. It's gonna be an early night. I promise I'll be more exciting tomorrow!

Baby Caleb :)

I know I already posted today, but I couldn't help it.... I'm in love with this little man and I've never even met him! He was born just a few days ago. Presh!!

Update: Computer is working fine. AND... I didn't lose those documents... the sad part is... I never had them to begin with! Haha oops!

Day 168

Something I've learned from today? READ THE DIRECTIONS! I have spent the past hour waiting for my MacBook Pro to stop uploading all of this stuff... I still don't even know what it was. While I was cleaning out stuff in my room, I found all of these cds that came from my computer bag. I figured... "Hmmm... maybe I was supposed to do this when I got it?" Um... an hour later, I still don't know what it was I put on here. I do know my iTunes was GONE. I downloaded another version though and got all my music back. I almost had a heart attack. My iPhoto is safe. That's something else I was about to be super nervous about. All is well in the MacBook Pro department now. Thank goodness!!

I've been packing all day. The living room in my parent's house is full of my stuff. In just a little bit we're going to load the cars for the early am move in. I've realized in this process that I possess opposite characteristics..... 1) I'm a hoarder. I keep the most ridiculous things. and 2) I lose IMPORTANT documents. I have my past two years information of all of the cheerleaders, but I can't find this years (the one I need!!) to save my life. I'm hoping it's around here somewhere, but right now it's not looking promising. I need a personal assistant to keep me in line. For real.

Not gonna lie... this whole process is bittersweet. I'm excited to move on to new things, but I'm gonna miss seeing my family aka "roommates" all of the time. The beauty of this is I can come over whenever I want to say hi.

Guess I better get back to moving this process... it's not going to get done by itself :).

Day 167

HAPPY SATURDAY!! I feel sooooooo much better. Not 100%, but I'm headed there. Woke up around 10am and decided I'd hit the heat for a workout. Wow, was I in for it or what!! It was blaaazzzzziiinnnngg hot. A lady working out in her yard asked me how I was doing it in this heat. Barely woman, barely! I thought I would never get back home. It was well over 100 degrees today and I felt it. I felt great once I got some water in me.

After my must needed shower, I ate some lunch then went to run some errands. Bought a few gifts (weddings & thank yous) for people at Bed, Bath, & Beyond. This specific location was in the Avenues at East Cobb... aka a lot of stores. I couldn't help but go in a few of them and spend some money on myself :) It's okay every once in a while, right?

I've been packing/organizing my life tonight. 1 more day till I move to my new place with LJ and Laura!! Eeeeek.

Friday, July 23, 2010

Day 166

My day: Packed. Got some things done via phone. Worked out. Chick Fil A. TV. Packed.

I'm super lame tonight. I still feel pretty rough. I had two birthday shindigs I was supposed to go to tonight, but I'm just not feeling like it. I'd rather get stuff done here. I can't wait to feel normal again!

Favorite quote of the day: My mom

(listening to a song that has the lyrics "Gettin' jiggy with it")

Mom: Did they just say "Getting chicken with it?" We just got "chicken with it" at Chick Fil A!

Day 165

Today was my last day to babysit Kelsey.. she definitely cried and refused to go to her mom from my arms. It was pretty stinkin' cute. Found out why she has been hard this week.... she has a virus! Well, duh! I'd be in a rough mood too. Actually, I am. I have been super short tempered today and not feeling like myself. I hate it when I am like this. Most of you have probably never seen me like that (nor will you ever), but sometimes it comes out... and man does it feel good. My problem is I have to have the last word. This drags out arguments a lot. Ooops. My bad. Part of me thinks I am a bit under the weather... my appetite is pretty small and I have no desire to go to the gym. Maybe I should just take a chill pill tonight... wish I could be more positive tonight, but it just ain't gonna happen.

oh yeah... Happy 23rd birthday to my baby brother!

Wednesday, July 21, 2010

Day 164

What's better than a picture?? A VIDEO! My day started out going to the doctor. I am not a huge doctor fan, but check out how my mom lightened the mood. Every song that came on the radio.. "What's this? I want you to put this on my iPod. We dance to this in jazzercise." She showed me one of her dances in the car and I happened to catch it on video. You're welcome mama! HAHA. After the doctor, we went to the new apartment with the roomies, Laura and LJ, to measure some things. Cheesecake Factory was calling our name so we went there for lunch. We came home and I got the urge to buy a new flat screen with a built in dvd player.... I had a gift certificate from my cheerleaders that was about to expire so that was my excuse :). Tonight I have been watching SYTYCD. I plan on packing a little once it's over!

Tuesday, July 20, 2010

Day 163

I did a lot of fabulous things today, but I'd have to say this picture was the best moment of the day. Nap time was supposed to be at 10:00am, but SOMEONE refused yet again... this picture was taken at 1:30pm. At least it happened eventually :)

This adorable video was filmed after I told her "No!" to pulling the curtains. She thought it was soooooooo funny!! I just adore this baby girl so much :)

Monday, July 19, 2010

Day 162

6:30am came wayyyyy tooooooo early this morning. What am I gonna do when school starts? Babysat little Kelsey today. She was oober sick and wouldn't stop whining and crying. She eventually went down for a nap... sigh of freaking relief! I even had to ask friends who have kids what to do because I was out of ideas. I did all the things they recommended and then finally she gave up the fight while I rocked her standing up. Talk about workout. After I watched her, I went to my dentist appt. No cavities like usual :). My dentist always gives me an A+ and says I have pretty teeth. That means a lot coming from a dentist! Tonight I went to dinner with a bunch of my girlfriends to say bye to Julie :(. Julie is moving to Germany for grad school (and a boy hehe) on Friday. It was sad to say bye, but I'm super happy for her. Here's Julie and I at a UGA game last year! Babysitting Kelsey in the am. Hopefully, she will be better and I won't walk away with another headache :).

Sunday, July 18, 2010

Day 161

Here are a few pictures from the trip... just got home and now it's time for bed. Babysitting little Kelsey early in the AM so this will be a short one. Night

Saturday, July 17, 2010

Day 160

Lunch at Huckleberry. I got fried green tomatos. Yummmmm! Then, we went to the beach with Carly's family. Now we're getting ready to BBQ at Carly's house with her parents and 16 others :). After that we plan on going out in Hermosa Beach. Last night :(, but I know it'll be a good one!

Friday, July 16, 2010

Day 159

Blair and I after we survived the hike! (I took a picture of a picture... that's why it looks miserable.) Yes, that's the Hollywood sign behind us.

Hey Hollywood!

Pool today with my awesome new app on my iPhone called "Hipstamatic".

HIIIII people. Last night we went to the magic show. It was ridiculously amazing! Change of venue though. It wasn't at the Kodak like we originally thought. It was at some creepy magic hotel. If you said "open sesame" the doors opened. There were a ton of rooms with different magicians performing at various times. We saw about 4 acts. All of them were so cool, but there was this one that all of us were one hundred percent believers. It was a married couple. He was the magician and she was a psychic. We all left so completely in shock that they wanted to video tape us for their website and facebook page. I'm pretty sure I said "I can't believe it" and "It was just so awesome!" over and over. How do you explain her knowing what word a girl was pointing to in a book while she was blind folded and across the room? How do you explain her knowing someone's birthday? How do you explain her knowing the numbers on a dollar bill I pulled out of my purse? Absolutely insane.

This morning we woke up then went to Coffee Bean for a quick breakfast. Then, we went to Griffith Park for a hike. It was SOOOOOO hard. Like I couldn't breathe for most of it. haha. The high altitude was definitely difficult to breathe, but we made it to the top. We were so close to the Hollywood sign. Beautiful view! For lunch we went to Cafe Verona then got Yogurtland. LOVE Yogurtland. We soaked up some rays for a few hours and napped too. Right now we're getting ready for some Korean BBQ and going out in Venice. I never want to come home. LA is too perfect for my liking. Really. I'm in love.

Thursday, July 15, 2010

Day 158

Can't really blog much, but today we.... went to Toast for lunch, Venice Beach, and now we're getting ready for a black tie event magic show at the Kodak Theatre. Totally pumped.

Pic-view from Blair's roof... deep in the distance you can see the Hollywood sign.

Wednesday, July 14, 2010

Day 157

Hiiiiiiiiiiiii from the west coast. We went to this awesome coffee place called "Bricks and Scones". Then, we went shopping and I spent a lot of money (oooopssss.... confessions). We went to this boutique that was literally $15 and under. The stuff was actually legit and super cute. After that, we went to the Grove and the Farmer's Market to shop some more. Tonight we're going to dinner at Magnolia then out in Hollywood. Woo hoo.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY WONDERFUL MOMMY!!!!

Tuesday, July 13, 2010

Day 156

Going to LA tonight with Lauren=BUSY day! Ran to Mimosa for a bit, got mama and I some lunch at My Friends Place, ate lunch, worked out at LA fitness, picked up some things at Kroger, then came home to pack. Ahhh, I leave in 2 hours and I'm not even close to being ready. My bad. Guess I better go do that! Next time I post, I'll be in LA!!! The pics above are from the last time Lauren and I went to LA last year. Ahh, it is going to be amazing once again!

I leave you with some burning questions I have:

1) Why do some mothers find it appropriate to feed their newborns in the middle of a restaurant? Grotesque.

2) Why do some people not understand how to read directions? Dumb.

3) Why do some people find it okay to cut off a car that says "Student Driver"? Rude.

Monday, July 12, 2010

Day 155

My summer is almost over!! BOOOOOOOOO. You know how I know? Because today was cheerleading camp and it's always at the end. It was fun seeing all the girls today and meeting new faces. After camp, we went to this place called "Scoops". They were nice enough to let us use their birthday party room. All of the girls and some of their parents joined to get to know each other. We ordered pizza then let the girls run wild in the store... they have baked goods, ice cream, and candy. Check out this cookie I bought my mom for a pre-birthday gift. The top you see in the picture is its thickness. CRAZY how huge it is. After that I came home to simply nap. Love my naps. Mom woke me up ridiculously early. I think she is just really excited for our event I have planned today. For mother's day, father's day, and David's birthday, I gave them tickets to Doobie Brothers and Chicago. We're going tonight as one big happy family. This should be fun because we never do stuff like this anymore together. Well, gotta go. Mom AND Dad (crazy duo) like to be the first ones there. :)

Day 154

Went to Biscuits and More this morning with my brother and my mom. Ran into an old best friend Caitlyn and her hubby Chris. Organized my old college tshirts and brought them over to Ms. Keifer's house. She makes tshirt quilts and they are SOOOO awesome. It's the perfect way to still keep the memories, but get the shirts out of your way :). I have one from my childhood shirts that she made me. I love it soooo much! Came home and organized my jewelry with this new jewelry organizer I bought the other day. It rests on a hanger which is so convenient. It has a back with pockets too... a total of 37 pockets. I'm a huge fan considering I spent about an hour trying to detangle a million necklaces tonight. Hopefully my problems are fixed by this purchase. Went to get chinese food... I was 100% craving it. Tonight I've been watching The Hills on MTV. It's so addicting... drama, drama, drama. I'm not one for drama at all in my own life, but DANG it's sooooo fun to watch other peoples play out!! Didn't work out today, but I'm okay with it. :) Cheerleading camp early tomorrow in the AM so I guess I better go to bed! Night loves.

Youtube video of today: "Swagger Wagon"... it's hilarious... esp. if you are a soccer mom and drive a mini van :)

Day 153

My amazing team!! Josh is such a trooper. We dressed him up and he actually wore it all day! All of the other teams were just as much decked out so I think he felt more comfortable with it :).

We all have that ridiculous face on. Not planned either, which is the funniest part.

My day went as follows...

1. 8:30 step aerobics with Josh (not Josh from above).... he finally came and didn't stand us up!

2. "Olympics"... I was on the green team with Kacie, Beth, and Josh. We're pretty tough! At least one girl was required to be on each team. Josh was lucky and had three :). We won over half of our events pretty much because we're amazing! SOOO fun.

3) Moes for dinner... never have I eaten so fast in my life--we were starving!

4) Lonnnnngggg day= longgggggg nap.

5) Bed. Goodnight!

Friday, July 9, 2010

Day 152

Busy day.... ipod touch exchange with Tori @ Mimosa, visited with L, lunch with girls I used to babysit way back in the day, new apt, storage unit, Wal-Mart to buy outfits for tomorrow--hahaha, Target, workout at LA Fitness, Mellow Mushroom with Kaceface, try out our "Olympics" outfits for the championship tomorrow... we're green, obvi, Sex & the City marathon. Pretty awesome if you ask me.

Thursday, July 8, 2010

Day 151

My iPhone. Oh my iPhone. If you know me, you know I am not a phone talker. I do not like talking on the phone unless I truly miss you or something is urgent. I'd rather see you in person or text you. Well, I have been talking on the phone to different insurance companies, doctors offices, dentist office, etc. for the past 2 hours. I am using my blog to vent. Really people? You are going to make me hold for 20 minutes then send me to another rep. just to hold on some more? Ugh. Luckily, all is said and done. I have completed the tasks I needed to complete. My phone calls did end on a funny note however.... I called my dentist office to set up an appt (this was before I told them my name). I asked if they had anything for the 19th and they said they were completely booked. Then she said, "Wait a second, who is this?" I told her my name and she said "I thought that was you. You scheduled the 19th when you were in here last time. See you at 2:00!" HAHA. What are the chances of that happening? Pretty much a gift after the morning I've had. Going to my dad's office to fax some things, work out, and clean and organize more.

After my morning, I have to keep reminding myself of this... (ps-this girl is now 16! She was on a tv show the other day talking about how this video of her younger blew up on youtube.) I love it... soooo cute!

Day 150

I actually did some work and got paid today! I babysat. Shocking, I know. I babysat for little Kelsey from 7am-2pm. We had a fabulous day. Pretty much our day consumed of eating, sleeping (2 hour nap for her--oh yes!!), changing diapers (not my fav), playing with toys, reading animated books, and playing with puppies. How stinkin' cute is she? She crawled into the dog crate and I just happened to have my phone to snap a photo. She's only one, but she can walk so fast. I got a work out just from chasing her... haha. I came home and of course fell asleep. Woke up then went to work out for 2 hours... I don't know where the energy came from, but I can say that I feel darn amazing right now. I plan on organizing and cleaning my room tonight. Only a few more days til Los Angeles (again, I know haha) and only a few more weeks til I move to my new apt!! Eeeeeeekkkkk.

I could watch this all day and NEVER get sick of it. I heart Glee SOOO much!! If you want your heart to smile, watch this link below :)

Day 149

AWESOME DAY!!

Let me just tell you... I had about a paragraph written of in depth good stuff that happened to me today, but then I decided to delete it. All you need to know is...

-I'm thankful I work at Mimosa and for the friendships I've made there.
-I appreciate people who notice my hard work and dedication.... even if it is just on paper for them to judge.
-I have the best friends in the entire world.
-My family is everything to me.

Pic: I was in Kroger tonight getting some things for my mama and I looked up and noticed my school was displayed for all to see :)

Monday, July 5, 2010

Day 148

Everyone left today :(. Caught some rays with Rebecca ("Rebes") and Lindsey. Went to the outlets in Commerce. Bought two pairs of shorts and those cool hangers that can hold up to five shirts. Ate ribs for dinner... normally I am not a hardcore meat on the bone eater, but dang! These were awesome! Tonight I watched the Bachelorette. Drama. Drama. Drama. I don't know why I watch it? It's embarrassing and makes me uncomfortable to even watch.

Day 147

July 4th post...

My bad. I forgot to post. Usually when I'm super busy I still remember to blog at least a little bit. Yesterday, it wasn't happening. Celebrating was on my mind. First, walked the Peachtree. My shins were throbbing from working out so hard recently. I could barely even walk. It was rough :(. I did run the first mile and the last straight away. I'm kinda disappointed I didn't run it the whole way with all of the training I've been doing, but oh well... I've learned my lesson that I can't overwork. Lindsey's family had about 20 people at their lake house. It was an absolute blast!

Saturday, July 3, 2010

Day 146

Had a blast last night!!! I love my friends. They are seriously the greatest ever. Woke up then went to Panera with my favorite sissys Steph and Cat. After that, I came home and got some things done.... I actually did some school stuff prep for next year. I know. Crazy. I leave for Lindsey's lake house tomorrow after I run the Peachtree. I realized tonight that I am about to be out of my pills and that they probably wouldn't be open tomorrow. I quickly called and raced over to the Kroger pharmacy. Luckily, I made it in time. The pharmacist seriously dealt with some ridiculous people. When he rang up my pills, he said it would be $198. What the??? My pills are max $90. Something is clearly wrong so he advised that I call my insurance company to see what was going on. He told me he was going to see what he could do for me, but that I had to wait a few minutes. I said, "THANKS!" and walked away. While I am waiting, I notice a nice (what I thought to be) lady get in line. She pulls out the TUDE to the nice pharmacist. She basically was mistaken of the Kroger policies. She tends to think she can use Wal-Mart coupons at Kroger. He continually told her that he couldn't do that and she told him her mind. I mean she was ridiculous to the max. I'd like to play out the conversations.... enjoy....

Pharmacist: "We do not take Wal-Mart coupons here at Kroger."
Psycho: "YES, you do... I think I would know your policies."
Pharmacist: "No, we don't m'am. I've been working here for many years and we have never done that."
Psycho: "That's it. Where is your manager? I'd like to speak to them. You need to go get them."
Pharmacist: "If you would like to speak to him, you can find him over there."
Psycho: "I am not going ANYWHERE (major tude). YOU can go get him."
(pharmacist continues to do his job..... psycho spots manager in store)
Psycho: (yelllliiinnggg) "Excuse me. Are you the manager?"
Manager: "Yes, I am."
Psycho: "This pharmacist seems to not know your policies." (goes into her pity story)
Manager: "Yes m'am. He was correct. Those are our policies."
Psycho: "That's it. Who is in charge of you and him? I am going higher I suppose. This is horrible customer service. I will make sure my story is spoken."
(manager goes and gets phone number of "higher up" person)
Pharmacist: (speaking to me) "Ms. Wexler, your prescription is now ready. M'am, could you please move to the side so Ms. Wexler can complete her order."
Psycho: "I am NOT going ANYWHERE!"

That crazy person made ME go to the other window. Absolutely ridiculous. Listen to this though.... Pharmacist Mike told me today was on him!! I didn't have to pay. He told me that he wanted to give it to me free this month and that would give me time to talk to my insurance company to get things settled. He also told me he felt sorry I had to witness all of it. You better believe Mike will be receiving cookies next week when I get back from the lake. I definitely cried when I walked out of Kroger. No joke. I was crying because I was so taken back by psycho and I couldn't believe someone who just got yelled at did a good deed for me. I hope Mike enjoys his cookies :). I also plan on calling Kroger to let them know I witnessed the whole thing and the lady was completely out of line. It's the least I could do!

Tonight I made "pretzel sparklers" to bring to the lake. It's pretzel rods dipped in melted white chocolate bark with star sprinkles and red sugar sprinkles. I tried to be patriotic. I love America's birthday!! GOOOO AMERICA!!!!!!!!

Wish me luck for my run tomorrow. I love running the Peachtree and crossing that finish line :) Happy 4th everyone!!

Friday, July 2, 2010

Day 145

I stayed up til 4:30am last night? What the heck is my problem? I got caught up watching youtube videos and downloading new music (mostly Glee!). Hmm... anywho... started my day off by seeing an A-MAZ-ING movie. My mama and I went to see Toy Story 3. Holy tears galore. There were times we were laughing and then there were times we were crying. It was such a sad/touching movie at the end. I really related to the end of it. I won't spoil it or give any of it anyway... just know it's a good one! I'd definitely see it again. When we came to our car after the movie we noticed it had rained. There was a pretty what I like to call "rainbow" on the ground. Loves it.

Tonight I'm going out with a bunch of friends I haven't seen in a while. Should definitely be a good time :)

Day 144

HAPPY (what would be) 20TH BIRTHDAY TO MY LITTLE BABY, CASEY! We got Casey when I was in Kindergarten. I got to pick him out. He was always found by my side. We had to put him to sleep when I was a junior in college. He was 15 1/2. I love him SOOOOO much and miss him all of the time. These are some pictures I found on my mom's computer. The one of us in the birthday hats was celebrating his birthday.... very adorable if I do say so myself. I LOVE YOU CASEY ROO!

So... my mom and I were Crime Stoppers today. I know. Crazy. Well, we were driving behind a ridiculously slow woman. She was driving 20mph in a 35 mph. I mean there was a serious line behind her. All of a sudden she starts to go off the road. Normally when that happens people freak out and get themselves back on the road. Not this woman. She stayed there for a while and then eventually came back over. But she didn't come in our lane. She came in the OTHER LANE!!!! People on the other side of the road were dodging her as best as they could. So by this point my mom and I are like... OK, this woman is crazy. She actually ends up turning into the shopping center we went into. Again....... she gets in the left lane going at the cars. Cars again are trying to get out of this crazy persons way. She doesn't stop at the stop sign... turns left... and get this...... ROLLS UP ONTO THE CURB... she doesn't stop... she continues to drive on it until her car comes off the curb. While this is all going on, I got her license plate number if we thought 911 should be called. By the end of it all, we definitely thought 911 should be called. I dialed them and told the lady everything I knew. Unfortunately, the woman got out of our sight, which was not good. I had to get off the phone with 911 feeling like I failed because I had all of this info, but I was clueless as to where she was at that point. Not even two minutes later, 911 calls ME back. "M'am, we have a serious situation here. There is a police officer circling McDonalds looking for you. Can you please find him?" My heart was beating while my mom raced to McDonalds. We got to where the cop was and basically had to retell him everything. THIS WOMAN WAS WANTED!!!!!!! He has been looking for her all morning due to other people calling in. I could tell it was a sticky drug bust situation. When we left our destination, we noticed that the cop was still camped out by McDonalds. I seriously wonder if they ever caught her? Regardless, it was an eventful day. I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy the excitement and action. It was kinda fun to be a part of it!
