Day 95

1) Napped for two amazing hours

2) Completed 6 pages of a scrapbook for someone retiring

3) Watched Grey's

5) Dinner--I made potstickers. Okay. I heated up potstickers. Still fantastic.

Day 94

Musssstttt.... blllooooggg....

It's 12am. Just got home from the Fox. We saw Mary Poppins! It was awesome. I'd blog more, but I'm super sleepy.

Day 93

I received some upsetting emails, texts, and phone calls today. SO many of my teacher friends have been "let go" by their school systems this week. I know I should be super excited for myself that I have a job for next year, but it is SO hard to be happy when everyone around me is hurting. I have been on the phone with anyone and everyone I know to try and help people out. I know that right now times are difficult, but hopefully I can at least help others put their foot in doors. I pray that everything becomes better soon.

No picture today... so I decided I'd show the reason why I wanted to be a teacher. Meet Mrs. Bodeep. She was my teacher I had for 1st and 3rd grade. If it weren't for her, I'd probably still be the shy child I was before her. She made such an influence in my life. She came to my dance recitals. She came to my nutcrackers. She came to my softball games. She had our class sleepover (probably can't do that today.. haha). She would let me call her if I needed anything--I was a worrier back then too! She let me show off my tumbling during story time :). She was in my eyes... an amazing teacher! I can only hope that I will be that teacher to a child or children. I guess I am meant to be in this profession if I am still left standing with a job. And you know what she still does... she still checks on me... this picture was taken one of the many days she has visited my classroom at Mimosa. Thank you Mrs. Bodeep for being SO amazing to me! I love you :)

Day 92

I signed my contract today!!! WOOHOOO.... other than that.... nothing out of the ordinary happened today. I went to kickboxing AND step. It has been a few weeks since I've done them back to back... oh wow. I almost fell over, but I survived.

To make for an interesting blog... let me babble about two pics I found on my computer tonight.

Picture 1: SENIOR YEAR AT UGA. I remember this night clearly! I was driving my friends and I to downtown in Athens. A man with a woman (not scary looking, no worries) came over to my friends and I asking for directions. We gave him directions and afterward... he just stood there and said... "You know what ladies. I really appreciate you helping me. Here! Take this and your first round is on me." What? 50 bucks! We were in complete shock! We just stood there with our mouths open and somehow managed to capture the moment. Needless to say... this went down in the books. The funniest thing about all of it is that we went to the Grill (late night food place) and used the money there :) haha!

Picture 2: Little Kailey and I. I worked at a Christian camp for underprivileged children the summer I turned 21 in Tybee Island. I absolutely loved working there. This was one of my favorite pics from the summer. I didn't know anyone took it until the banquet :). SO candid and SO sweet!

Day 91

Happy Mother's Day to all my favorite mothers...especially my very own! We had a family reunion today just like we do every year on Mother's Day. I remember being super young and running around at them. Now, I just sit back, hold babies, chat with old folks (hehe), and enjoy spending time with some of the ones I love most. The peeps above are my granddaddy's brothers and sisters. He passed away when I was in high school, but I know he'd be front and center if he were still around. It was good to see my grandmommy... I hope you get your knee well!! We need to go on another trip!! There was TONS of amazing food there... like always. I'd have to say I had three favorites.... poppyseed chicken, grape salad, AND get this.... red velvet cake bites covered in white chocolate. WHAT??? Um... delish.

We came home and my mama opened her gifts... she racked in an iTunes gift card, Ann Taylor gift card, candle, chocolate (her fav were the chocolate covered almonds), and... I gave my mom, dad, and brother my birthday present to each of them so they won't plan anything for that night.... Chicago and Doobie Brothers on July 12th! As you can see, my mama is super stoked for it because it's not just her and my dad going (like always)... it's all four of us aka the roommates! Roommate bonding time if you will :)

Overall, great day! It is now 9:20 and I should probably get in school mode. Night loves :)

Day 90

Productive/fun day! Started my day off in a panic though :) My alarm was set for 7:15. When I woke up, I looked at my clock. I guess I assumed that it was a school day because my heart immediately stopped. I sat up in bed and ran for my phone to explain why I was late. As I was searching for "Mimosa Elementary" I realized... really Michelle!! IT'S SATURDAY!! I calmed down then went to get ready for my workout class.

Drove to Toco Hills for my Josh! Let me just say that he KILLED us. It was so worth it because I was so energized today.

After a 2 hour high intensity step class, I went shopping for Allison's wedding shower. Speaking of showers... I went home to take one then rushed to her parents house. It was Mexican themed! Everything about the party was precious... I had a great time. Cinda brought Cailey with her and we all played hide and seek the majority of the time. She cracked me up... every time she hid she was in clear view... every time she was finding someone (and they were in clear view).... she'd play along and act like she didn't see them till SHE was ready to find them. SO cute!!

After that, I went to the mall for some last minute things for tomorrow. I ran into my bff, Reba at the mall as well. We go way back to DWTS :)

My long morning/day=I came home and passed out. Tonight I am feeling pretty lame.... missing out on a bachelorette party and a few other crazy festivities because we are leaving super early for our family reunion tomorrow. It's okay though because I get to see some of the peeps I love most!

Day 89

My day consumed of the International Festival. It was fun, but I wish I got to see more of my students. Oh well... I do see them on a daily basis :).

Busy day tomorrow... Waking up early to go workout with Josh at 8:30 then heading to Lally's wedding shower.

UPDATE: I finished my log in time AND she loved it. She thinks I go above and beyond. How sweet and kind she is :) yay for that being over!
