Day 150

I actually did some work and got paid today! I babysat. Shocking, I know. I babysat for little Kelsey from 7am-2pm. We had a fabulous day. Pretty much our day consumed of eating, sleeping (2 hour nap for her--oh yes!!), changing diapers (not my fav), playing with toys, reading animated books, and playing with puppies. How stinkin' cute is she? She crawled into the dog crate and I just happened to have my phone to snap a photo. She's only one, but she can walk so fast. I got a work out just from chasing her... haha. I came home and of course fell asleep. Woke up then went to work out for 2 hours... I don't know where the energy came from, but I can say that I feel darn amazing right now. I plan on organizing and cleaning my room tonight. Only a few more days til Los Angeles (again, I know haha) and only a few more weeks til I move to my new apt!! Eeeeeeekkkkk.

I could watch this all day and NEVER get sick of it. I heart Glee SOOO much!! If you want your heart to smile, watch this link below :)

Day 149

AWESOME DAY!!

Let me just tell you... I had about a paragraph written of in depth good stuff that happened to me today, but then I decided to delete it. All you need to know is...

-I'm thankful I work at Mimosa and for the friendships I've made there.
-I appreciate people who notice my hard work and dedication.... even if it is just on paper for them to judge.
-I have the best friends in the entire world.
-My family is everything to me.

Pic: I was in Kroger tonight getting some things for my mama and I looked up and noticed my school was displayed for all to see :)

Day 148

Everyone left today :(. Caught some rays with Rebecca ("Rebes") and Lindsey. Went to the outlets in Commerce. Bought two pairs of shorts and those cool hangers that can hold up to five shirts. Ate ribs for dinner... normally I am not a hardcore meat on the bone eater, but dang! These were awesome! Tonight I watched the Bachelorette. Drama. Drama. Drama. I don't know why I watch it? It's embarrassing and makes me uncomfortable to even watch.

Day 147

July 4th post...

My bad. I forgot to post. Usually when I'm super busy I still remember to blog at least a little bit. Yesterday, it wasn't happening. Celebrating was on my mind. First, walked the Peachtree. My shins were throbbing from working out so hard recently. I could barely even walk. It was rough :(. I did run the first mile and the last straight away. I'm kinda disappointed I didn't run it the whole way with all of the training I've been doing, but oh well... I've learned my lesson that I can't overwork. Lindsey's family had about 20 people at their lake house. It was an absolute blast!

Day 146

Had a blast last night!!! I love my friends. They are seriously the greatest ever. Woke up then went to Panera with my favorite sissys Steph and Cat. After that, I came home and got some things done.... I actually did some school stuff prep for next year. I know. Crazy. I leave for Lindsey's lake house tomorrow after I run the Peachtree. I realized tonight that I am about to be out of my pills and that they probably wouldn't be open tomorrow. I quickly called and raced over to the Kroger pharmacy. Luckily, I made it in time. The pharmacist seriously dealt with some ridiculous people. When he rang up my pills, he said it would be $198. What the??? My pills are max $90. Something is clearly wrong so he advised that I call my insurance company to see what was going on. He told me he was going to see what he could do for me, but that I had to wait a few minutes. I said, "THANKS!" and walked away. While I am waiting, I notice a nice (what I thought to be) lady get in line. She pulls out the TUDE to the nice pharmacist. She basically was mistaken of the Kroger policies. She tends to think she can use Wal-Mart coupons at Kroger. He continually told her that he couldn't do that and she told him her mind. I mean she was ridiculous to the max. I'd like to play out the conversations.... enjoy....

Pharmacist: "We do not take Wal-Mart coupons here at Kroger."
Psycho: "YES, you do... I think I would know your policies."
Pharmacist: "No, we don't m'am. I've been working here for many years and we have never done that."
Psycho: "That's it. Where is your manager? I'd like to speak to them. You need to go get them."
Pharmacist: "If you would like to speak to him, you can find him over there."
Psycho: "I am not going ANYWHERE (major tude). YOU can go get him."
(pharmacist continues to do his job..... psycho spots manager in store)
Psycho: (yelllliiinnggg) "Excuse me. Are you the manager?"
Manager: "Yes, I am."
Psycho: "This pharmacist seems to not know your policies." (goes into her pity story)
Manager: "Yes m'am. He was correct. Those are our policies."
Psycho: "That's it. Who is in charge of you and him? I am going higher I suppose. This is horrible customer service. I will make sure my story is spoken."
(manager goes and gets phone number of "higher up" person)
Pharmacist: (speaking to me) "Ms. Wexler, your prescription is now ready. M'am, could you please move to the side so Ms. Wexler can complete her order."
Psycho: "I am NOT going ANYWHERE!"

That crazy person made ME go to the other window. Absolutely ridiculous. Listen to this though.... Pharmacist Mike told me today was on him!! I didn't have to pay. He told me that he wanted to give it to me free this month and that would give me time to talk to my insurance company to get things settled. He also told me he felt sorry I had to witness all of it. You better believe Mike will be receiving cookies next week when I get back from the lake. I definitely cried when I walked out of Kroger. No joke. I was crying because I was so taken back by psycho and I couldn't believe someone who just got yelled at did a good deed for me. I hope Mike enjoys his cookies :). I also plan on calling Kroger to let them know I witnessed the whole thing and the lady was completely out of line. It's the least I could do!

Tonight I made "pretzel sparklers" to bring to the lake. It's pretzel rods dipped in melted white chocolate bark with star sprinkles and red sugar sprinkles. I tried to be patriotic. I love America's birthday!! GOOOO AMERICA!!!!!!!!

Wish me luck for my run tomorrow. I love running the Peachtree and crossing that finish line :) Happy 4th everyone!!

Day 145

I stayed up til 4:30am last night? What the heck is my problem? I got caught up watching youtube videos and downloading new music (mostly Glee!). Hmm... anywho... started my day off by seeing an A-MAZ-ING movie. My mama and I went to see Toy Story 3. Holy tears galore. There were times we were laughing and then there were times we were crying. It was such a sad/touching movie at the end. I really related to the end of it. I won't spoil it or give any of it anyway... just know it's a good one! I'd definitely see it again. When we came to our car after the movie we noticed it had rained. There was a pretty what I like to call "rainbow" on the ground. Loves it.

Tonight I'm going out with a bunch of friends I haven't seen in a while. Should definitely be a good time :)

Day 144

HAPPY (what would be) 20TH BIRTHDAY TO MY LITTLE BABY, CASEY! We got Casey when I was in Kindergarten. I got to pick him out. He was always found by my side. We had to put him to sleep when I was a junior in college. He was 15 1/2. I love him SOOOOO much and miss him all of the time. These are some pictures I found on my mom's computer. The one of us in the birthday hats was celebrating his birthday.... very adorable if I do say so myself. I LOVE YOU CASEY ROO!

So... my mom and I were Crime Stoppers today. I know. Crazy. Well, we were driving behind a ridiculously slow woman. She was driving 20mph in a 35 mph. I mean there was a serious line behind her. All of a sudden she starts to go off the road. Normally when that happens people freak out and get themselves back on the road. Not this woman. She stayed there for a while and then eventually came back over. But she didn't come in our lane. She came in the OTHER LANE!!!! People on the other side of the road were dodging her as best as they could. So by this point my mom and I are like... OK, this woman is crazy. She actually ends up turning into the shopping center we went into. Again....... she gets in the left lane going at the cars. Cars again are trying to get out of this crazy persons way. She doesn't stop at the stop sign... turns left... and get this...... ROLLS UP ONTO THE CURB... she doesn't stop... she continues to drive on it until her car comes off the curb. While this is all going on, I got her license plate number if we thought 911 should be called. By the end of it all, we definitely thought 911 should be called. I dialed them and told the lady everything I knew. Unfortunately, the woman got out of our sight, which was not good. I had to get off the phone with 911 feeling like I failed because I had all of this info, but I was clueless as to where she was at that point. Not even two minutes later, 911 calls ME back. "M'am, we have a serious situation here. There is a police officer circling McDonalds looking for you. Can you please find him?" My heart was beating while my mom raced to McDonalds. We got to where the cop was and basically had to retell him everything. THIS WOMAN WAS WANTED!!!!!!! He has been looking for her all morning due to other people calling in. I could tell it was a sticky drug bust situation. When we left our destination, we noticed that the cop was still camped out by McDonalds. I seriously wonder if they ever caught her? Regardless, it was an eventful day. I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy the excitement and action. It was kinda fun to be a part of it!
