Day 302

Q: Are you a Negative Nancy or a Positive Polly?

... all I have to say is that I strive to be the "P" one tomorrow.

Day 301

"Kids, let's go for a ride on the wheel barrrraaahhh." He would literally run us around the hugggeeee basement. I remember thinking I was on a rollercoaster. He was sooooo fun to be around! Probably because he was a kid at heart.

We were always found on his lap. ALL of us. I'm the little one with my finger in my mouth... naturally.

My little baby and granddaddy. I can't even express how much I miss both of them. Ah, it makes me tear up just writing this. :(

Jewelry partyyyyyy... it was a success. People left moneyless and full of yummy food made by yours truly. I love Monday nights like these :)

Mama sent me a text tonight reminding me that my granddaddy went to heaven 8 years ago today. I'll never forget that phone call and seeing mama's face as she paced up and down the hall figuring out in a matter of minutes how she was going to get to Alabama. We loved him SOOOOOOOOO much and we all think about him often. Love you granddaddy!

Day 300

Day 300? Wow... can't believe it has been that long since I've been a "blogger"? 65 more days. I know it's hard to handle/comprehend.... but it's true. Cherish these next 65 days!!

Went out last night after the games. Super fun, but I'm a speck on the lazy/tired side. Currently, going to the store with Laura to buy food for our jewelry party tomorrow. I'm making baked brie, punch, pretzel/rollo/m&ms snack, and something still yet to be decided. Lindsey and Laura are making a few things too. I'm pumped!

Gotta run and bake, bake, bake!!!

Day 299

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!!! It's going to be a good day. Josh helped me start my day off on the right foot. Amazing 8:30-9:45 workout! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W2oGvfT0xrc (at about 3:18 is close to tempo--it's even faster than that). This song is one of Josh's favorites and it has become one of mine. He speeds it up so it is literally fast as anything. AHHHH, so amazing.

I got out of working out to see I had an email this morning from a dad of one of my cheerleaders. I'd like to share some of it because it made me smile...
"You are doing a great job with the girls and we are lucky to have you as their coach / leader." It feels nice to know my hard work is showing off.

Off to visit Ms. Saren (an old teacher from high school), Office Depot, Milton for a cheerleading competition, then Lovett for an away game till who knows when.

Have a fabulous Saturday!

Day 298

Oh HEYYYYYYYYYYYYY 9:00 and I am just now getting home! A long day of school and coaching.... I am tired as anything. I think I will spend the rest of the night curled up on the coach watching Polar Express. Being sick this week.. I only worked out twice... tomorrow morning I am going to Josh's class. I look forward to a good workout! Another long day with cheerleading competitions and away basketball games at Lovett tomorrow... am I setting myself back up for sickness? Hopefully not. I have no choice though :)

Night lovies.

Day 297

Today was surprisingly great. Not being there for 2 days in row this week... I didn't know if today was going to be a "yay" or a "nay". It was definitely a "yay"! The kids missed me and I heard the words "I love you!" and "Your voice!!! It's coming back!" more than I can count. It's nice to feel loved. I appreciate all of the concerns! Thanks to all of you. I think I can say I'm 75% on my way to normal.

Tonight I went to my rents (old roommates) house for some dinner and Hanukkah time with dad. For those not aware.... Mom is Christian and Dad is Jewish. I consider myself Christian, but I still help him celebrate his special holidays. We exchanged gifts and had a pleasant dinner.

Tomorrow is game #1 for our basketball cheerleading season.

M-I-L....T-O-N.... Milton, Milton, GO FIGHT WIN!

Day 296

Good evening.

Today I stayed home, which was much needed. I still have a crummy voice and I cough a few times every ten or so minutes, but I'm better and that's what counts. I'm going in tomorrow and I have strategies in place. I was always taught that when a child can teach what they have learned then that means they have mastered it. I plan to go by this a lot tomorrow to save my voice. Plus it will show me how well I've taught the material :)

Check out this crazzzzyyyy house in Buckhead I passed tonight. They always decorate to the extreme for every big holiday. If you put these pictures next to each other you would see their front yard. It's huge and COVERED!!! Christmas is definitely in the air... the COLD air!
