Day 88

Assignment: Log mentor hours for semester by tomorrow.

I am a procrastinator when I don't want to do something. I find every reason to do something else besides it. I worked out longer today. I stayed at school and socialized/caught up with old friends. I bought things for a thank you gift for our volunteer that comes in twice a week. I took a two hour nap. I showered (obvi), but I also dried my hair instead of air drying it. I am blogging. I ate dinner inside a restaurant instead of taking it home. Basically... everything I've done since school got out could have either been shortened or postponed till the weekend. When I don't want to do something, I find excuses everywhere!!

Okay. I promise. I'll start now. Ugh. Here I go. Wish me luck.

Day 87

I attempted to go workout after school today, but that totally didn't happen because I got peer pressured into participating in Cinco de Mayo festivities. I just got home... it's almost 10:30... oops. For dinner, Lauren and I each got the appetizer nachos thinking it would be okay for just us to eat. Holy cow... it was huge! We should have shared! You couldn't even tell either of us made a dent in it. We got called up on stage to dance because we have brown eyes.... can you guess what song it was? Yup... BrOwN eYeD gIrL! Sha la la la la la la la la la la tee daaaaa.


ps-I promise I have other friends besides Lauren. I will start showing proof one of these days :) I can't help it that she's my best frin!

Day 86

Today was normal. Nothing out of the ordinary. However, when I got home, I came to realize that the air conditioning was broken in our house! Ugh... it is so hot in my room (top of house). We have three levels in mi casa... four if you count the garage... the basement is not as hot so I think I am going to sleep in one of those rooms tonight... even though I may end up in the garage towards the end of the night haha. Thanks to all of my awesome friends who offered their places tonight! I'm pretty sure I'm going to live. They couldn't come fix it today, but yay for them coming tomorrow!

I didn't have a picture from today so I decided to look for one in my collection. I came across this picture. This was taken on the last day of school last year. This child was NEVER a behavior problem. I remember I had them line up and she never came. When I asked her why she wasn't lining up, she told me that she couldn't because SHE tied her shoelaces together. I can only imagine the events that will occur in my classroom this year on the last day... 13 more days... but who's counting?

Day 85

Weird skies tonight!

After school, I entered tons of grades in the computer, filed them, and cleaned up after a busy day. When I finally left around 5, I decided that instead of going to my kickboxing class, glancing at the new Nordstrom Rack off the Lenox Exit was a better/more exciting choice. Holy crap! Has anyone ever been to one of these before? I was in HEAVEN!!! Just imagine Nordstrom, but LOTS cheaper. I could have stayed in there for hours, but I had to get to my Josh for step class. I didn't plan on buying anything, but I couldn't help it.... the sevens jeans and cute spring blouse were calling my name.

Step was ridic tonight. They somehow ran out of steps? There were some pissed off people. You could feel the tension in the room. I did my good deed for the day and switched off with someone who was having a fit. If her day was going to be ruined by this then the least I could do was share with her.

When I got home, I showered (obvi) and made the best chicken salad ever. I can certainly say I have perfected it! I am a Master chef at this point. My roommate thinks I could start my own restaurant business. Seriously... my chicken salad is the bomb.com. Let me cook for you! :)

When I started to get ready for bed, I realized that I had a horrible spot in my back that needed popping. I did everything imaginable. I did a back bend. No luck. I leaned back off of my bed. No luck. My mom tried to push my back while I was on the ground. NO LUCK. Finally, my brother came to save the day. I crossed my arms and he picked me up. Success!!!! FINALLY... I can sleep in peace. Goodnight!

Day 84

Ugh... I'm still fighting allergies. Eff. My day was still somehow productive? Cleaned my room, graded some papers, wrote some thank you notes for people who went above and beyond for me, printed out some things for International, ate dinner with mommy and my widdle brudder (daddy is outta town), reserved 2 rooms for Athens in June for Courtney and Dewitt's wedding!, worked out (and almost died), then went grocery shopping (I had no choice!). Let me ask a question.... when does this buy anything you see kid related thing stop? You see... my classroom is jungle themed. When I was in Kroger, I happened to look over at their chairs section and I saw a kid monkey chair and a kid tiger chair. GOLD in my eyes. I couldn't help it. Does that ever stop? Because I'm almost in my 3rd year and I am just as guilty as day 1. It's causing my bank account to hate me.

These pictures are from last night at the wedding shower. BUT... they were tagged today on facebook. So, I felt like it was appropriate that I could post them! Courtney and Dewitt really do love each other... they just like to have fun. Promise :) And I am pretty sure this picture of me was taken after our gift was a duplicate... good thing there is such thing as a gift receipt!

Day 83

Last night was so much fun! Went to dinner then out on the town. Today, I had my favorite meal ever.... Martha's Salad Plate from Marti's at Midday. It's a restaurant in Athens, GA. My best "frin" Lauren was there for work and she brought it back for me :). Talk about winning my heart! I came home and took a two hour nap... obviously. Then, I got ready and went to one of my college friends wedding shower. Her name is Courtney Brown and in college her famous name was "Downtown Courtney Brown". You could ALWAYS find her out, but ever since she started dating her now fiance she is a lot more tame. :) I love them... they are so precious and I am so happy I have had the chance to see their relationship develop into what it is today. The people who hosted the party live in a ridiculous house. Their house is massive!! John Smoltz from the Braves and Lil' John the rapper live in their hood, but we had no sightings :(. I did have sightings of their cats. If you don't know already, I am HIGHLY allergic to cats. They don't even have to be in the room and I will go into a sneezing fit and swell up. Ugh, I hate it, but it's true. My eyes are still swollen. It's cool though because I'm so used to it! I am calling it an early night. Good night!
